The best method of self defence is one that can fend off the most attacks with the least amount of movements – “less is more”. Perfecting one move that provides comprehensive defence will stand you in better stead in a dangerous situation than learning hundreds of moves but not executing them properly.

That’s why in Wing Tsun we stress the importance of a training system that is as full and complete as possible, and which acknowledges all of the “five distances” that are part of the fighting-situation: fighting with feet, hands, knees and elbows, holding and throwing and finally ground fighting or as we like to call it anti-grappling.

Qualified instructors of Wing Tsun

 

The Wing Tsun (WT) instructors are personally selected, not only for their Wing Tsun (WT) skills, but, just as importantly, for their ability to effectively communicate their knowledge and understanding to students of all ages. In addition to Wing Tsun qualifications, most instructors have the following qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Work Cover accredited Occupational Health and Safety awareness course for supervisors
  • Real life experience working in security or military jobs having been involved in many situations that requiring the use of self defence.
