Si-Hing Ralf Burger Starting With Martial Art
Introduced to martial arts by family and friends at a young age, Si Hing Ralf Burger felt an immediate draw to kick boxing, classical wrestling and other martial art styles. When Si Hing Ralf Burger received an invitation from a friend to attend an open day at Wing Tsun(WT), a school in his hometown of Heilbronn, Germany, he finally understood the full power and beauty of material arts. After understanding the power and practicality of Wing Tsun, Ralf decided to move to Berlin and train under the watchful eye of Si-Fu Kopplin. Wishing to further his WT training, Ralf arrived in Australia and contacted the chief instructor of the Australian Wing Tsun Network, Si-Fu Fischer. Upon attending an instructor weekend at the WT headquarters in Sydney, Ralf was accepted as a fulltime student by Si-Fu Fischer. Ralf continues to develop his knowledge under the tutelage of WT instructors, and Ralf has opened his own WT school in Adelaide.
Following the maxim, “The best method of self defence is the one which offers the average man or woman in the street the best protection against everyday aggression and attacks within the shortest time possible,” WT has proven itself as an excellent system of self defence for kids, women or any other individual. WT is considered to be a traditional martial art. A woman who wished to protect herself against a much stronger attacker originally developed the system. The WT self defence system was developed to work with an attacker’s power, instead of against an attacker’s power. Under the WT method, a person who is attacked by an individual will be able to use the attacker’s power against them. The system’s instructors and practitioners developed the WT system over 250 years through continuous research.
