Classical teaching and learning models appear to be cast in stone, yet they are, often no longer effective. Entire professions are dying out, and some lines of business are disappearing completely. What school-leaver / graduate can really say today what he or she will be doing in five years time? Nobody really knows, where things are heading. But new opportunities are growing alongside well travelled paths; opportunities for the intelligent and hard-working who are not afraid of venturing into new territory. The transition from an industrial society to a service society is becoming more and more evident. The recreational sector, in particular, is becoming increasingly important (fitness, sports, relaxation, self-development etc.). Many people have already achieved a good income, their independence and self- fulfilment in this area. Some have, even started new careers which they would never have dared to dream of in their former jobs. And some have turned their hobby into a profession, or at least into a satisfying secondary occupation. Have you ever thought of building your future on WingTsun? Are you good at getting along with people? Are you able to withstand physical and psychological strain? Do you have some form of start-up capital - however small? They are as promising as the energy you are prepared to put in. Every WT instructor Is taught the same basic programme i.e.. Everybody is given the same working basis. On completion of our training course for instructors, some of our students have very quickly become independent operators of more than one dozen WT schools (in Europe), or even Chief Instructors for an entire country, while others barely scrape a living with just a few students. The story is the same as in other professions: it is not sufficient to have a skill, you must also be able to convey the fact to others, and to sell yourself well.
WT instructors are generally self-employed or work with sports or fitness centres on a freelance basis. We recommend that you start teaching WT on a part-time basis initially, until your self-confidence and experience are sufficient to allow an assessment of the financial prospects. You are protected against competition from other members of the world-wide WT association, which is currently represented in about 60 countries and is the world's largest Chinese martial arts association (for one style), by the system of area exclusivity.
Not everybody can call himself/ herself a WingTsun instructor. To guarantee the interested student a high standard of teaching and to prevent abuse, we. have legally protected the terms WT, WingTsun and Leung Ting System.
The Oceanian centre responsible for training WT-instructors are the AUEWTO headquarters in Sydney. The training centre offers various courses for prospective WT instructors or WT supervisors. These courses range from daily sessions with up to 30 hours per week to weekend courses and combined courses or Individually tailored curricula.
The Training Academy in Sydney offers the opportunity of a Study/Education Program leading to an Instructor/D-Trainer Certificate. A graduate may also open an official WingTsun school. The lessons will be held 5 days a week: 5 units of 45 minutes a day. Through intensive training in small groups it is possible to gain knowledge very quickly and effectively. Instructor certificates are recognised in over sixty countries, through the International WingTsun Martial Art Association (IWTMAA) the largest independent and professional martial arts association in the world. Teaching Police special forces, Army special forces the FBI, CIA, SEK, NOK, RAID just to name a few, a reputation that speaks for itself. The Full Time Academy is a really flexible way to train. Due to students employment and other commitments the education is scheduled to suit the individual student. Our training system is very flexible just like WingTsun, so you can join at any time and your training needs will be tailored to suit your particular circumstances. The WT way of teaching is personal with not to many students in the class. WT is a demanding occupation, with a high standard set. The guidance and help will be there, but effort is needed.
