Master Stefan Fischer
Master Stefan Fischer & Wing Tsun

Stefan Fischer, born in Germany in 1967 and started to practise martial arts at the age of 5. For many years he practised and progressed from Judo, Shaolin Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Thai- and Kickboxing and street fighting which led him to Wing Tsun. He trained in Wing Tsun under the guidance of Grand Master K.R. Kernspecht, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week at the famous Langenzell Castle near Heidelberg, Germany.
In addition, he has been a private student of Grandmaster Leung Ting, Grandmaster Kernspecht, Master Edel, Master Schroen and many others. Before moving to Australia, Stefan Fischer managed nine schools in Germany with hundreds of students
Achievements
Stefan Fischer’s many years working as a doorman and bodyguard provided him with valuable experience in dealing with real world situations and he shares the benefit of this experience with his students. As a bodyguard, he worked for such individuals as Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude van Damme and Bob Wall.
Master Stefan Fischer ran his own security company for a time, and also helped to found the IPSO (International Protection Service Organisation).
In 1994, Fischer’s teachers Grandmaster Keith R. Kernspecht (European Chief Instructor) and Grandmaster Leung Ting (World Chief Instructor appointed him as Chief Instructor and Representative of the Australian Escrima and Wing Tsun Organisation (AUEWTO) . In 2007 this organization was renamed the Australian Wing Tsun Network Pty Ltd (AWTN).
Throughout his years as an instructor, Si Fu Fischer has trained several of his students both in Australia and Germany to Technician levels in WT.
In 2000 Master Stefan Fischer was inducted into the Blitz Hall of Fame as the Kung Fu instructor of the Year. In June 2001, Fischer received of his 4th Technican Level Wing Tsun from Si Fu Grandmaster K.R. Kernspecht and his Si Gung Grandmaster Leung Ting after 4 years of preparation.
After 18 years of dedicated Wing Tsun Training and more than 15 years of teaching, in May 2008 Si Fu Fischer was graded by GM Kernspecht and awarded the 5th Practician Master Level of Wing Tsun. He thus joined the ranks of a select group of individuals who hold Master levels in Wing Tsun.
Master Stefan Fischer has been authorized by Grandmaster Leung Ting and Grandmaster Kernspecht to act as Representative and Chief Instructor of the Leung Ting Wing Tsun System in Australia. He is solely responsible for establishing and directing the AWTN and is in charge of instructing and testing all Wing Tsun instructors in Australia. Fischer is also responsible for the distribution of geographical rights to open a WT school in Australia.
